The England national rugby union team is the rugby union representative of England. In the annual Six Nations Championship, a competition against France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy and Wales, England has won on 26 occasions. With 12 of those wins being Grand Slam victories, England is considered as the most successful team in the history of the tournament. England holds the crown for the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and is ranked fifth internationally by the International Rugby Board. Throughout the team's history, many remarkable players have made multiple triumphs possible for the nation, including Will Carding, the youngest ever captain at 22 who also led the team to three Grand Slam wins; International Rugby Hall of Famer Martin Johnson, said to be 'the greatest forward' to play for England; and Johnny Wilkinson, who is the most capped back with 87, and whose record of 1,151 points for England is yet to be broken.
